FAVIGNANA ISLAND, 3 — 8 OCTOBER, 2026

YOUR JOURNEY INTO SOFTNESS — SIX DAYS ON THE ISLAND OF FAVIGNANA

This October, Lumaé travels to Sicily — to the wild beauty of Favignana, a tiny island kissed by sun, salt, and stillness. A soulful retreat where we’ll gather by the sea and return to simplicity: six days for you to slow down, root into nature, and stretch summer just a little longer.

After the magic of Lumaé Spain, I wanted to bring that same spirit here: the laughter, the warmth, the sense of belonging that makes every moment feel lighter. In the rush of everyday life, it’s easy to drift away from ourselves — this retreat is a gentle return — to your body, your breath, and the simple joy of being fully here.

Lumaé, from the Latin lumen, means “light of life.” Here, you’ll find space to reconnect with your own spark and rediscover what truly nourishes you: movement, stillness, nature, and community.

YOUR INVITATION TO SLOW DOWN AND RETURN TO SIMPLICITY

Your morning begins with yoga and meditation in our shala among the olive trees, sunlight spilling across your mat as you move, breathe, and soften into presence. You’ll explore different practices — breathwork, journaling, playful workshops — all designed to help you reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe, authentic and empowering. No pressure, you do you: this is your space to soften, reset, and simply be.

Afternoons unfold gently at your own pace: read by the sea, swim in turquoise water, cycle along the coast, or wander through the gardens and farmland where our food is grown. Favignana invites you into earthy, simple pleasures — olive picking, foraging, wine and olive oil tastings, or sailing to hidden coves. As the day fades, we’ll gather again for grounding practices, shared meals, and golden sunsets that melt into laughter and long conversations with new friends.

This retreat is your invitation to exhale fully and return to what’s essential — there’s nothing to achieve, nowhere to rush. Just space to move freely and remember how simple life can feel when you give yourself permission to just be. You may not find all the answers, but by the end of the week, you might notice that something inside has shifted — a gentle return to yourself.

OUR HOME

OUR HOME

Nestled between ancient olive trees and the western sea, our home on Favignana is a quiet sanctuary for slow, simple living. With only six bedrooms, the house feels intimate and welcoming — a place where peace and connection come naturally. From the terraces, you’ll watch unforgettable sunsets over Marettimo and the Punta Sottile lighthouse, letting each evening unfold in calm and beauty.

Part of Terre del Favonio, our house is surrounded by farmland where much of what nourishes you is grown — organic vegetables, herbs, and olives pressed on-site, bringing the flavours of Sicily straight to your plate.

Favignana itself remains one of Sicily’s hidden treasures — untouched and unhurried, with crystal coves, rocky trails, and the soft pulse of island life. October is when the island exhales: the summer crowds have gone, the air is warm, and life slows into calm. Your days here move with the rhythm of nature, the hum of cicadas and the distant sound of the sea, inviting you to rest, reconnect, and rediscover the pleasure of slowing down.

THE TABLE

THE TABLE

The heart of the retreat beats in the kitchen. Meals are vegetarian and made with fresh, organic and seasonal ingredients grown on the property’s own farm, Terre del Favonio.

Our menus are crafted by Giulia, biologist and nutritionist, and cooked with love by Chiara, a holistic chef. Together, they create nourishing, seasonal dishes that celebrate balance, flavour, and simplicity.

You’re welcome to wander through the garden, harvest produce, visit the olive press or the bakery, and experience the slow rhythm of Sicilian living.

Every day, you’ll enjoy a generous brunch, afternoon treats, and a nourishing dinner, with tea, coffee, and fruit throughout the day. Please let us know of any dietary requirements or allergies when booking.
