Favignana Island, 3-8 October, 2026

Lumaé — Sicily Retreat

3–8 October 2026 | Favignana

This October, Lumaé travels to Sicily — to the wild, sun-soaked beauty of Favignana. A small island surrounded by crystal-clear water, where life moves slower and everything invites you to soften.

A 6-day soulful retreat by the sea, created as a space to pause, reconnect, and come back to yourself, to your light.

Lumaé - light of life - was born from a simple feeling: somewhere in the rush of everyday life, it’s easy to drift away from yourself, your body and what truly makes you feel alive.

This retreat is your invitation to step out of the noise and into something softer, brighter. A gentle return to your body, your breath, to the simple joy of being fully here.

Surrounded by nature, simplicity, and a slower rhythm, you’ll be invited to soften, reset, and just be — held by the sea, the space, and the people around you.

Lumaé isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering what’s already there. That quiet, steady light within you.

The Practices

Each day, we’ll explore different practices designed to bring you back into your body in a way that feels safe, authentic and empowering.

My teaching is rooted in vinyasa yoga, infused with dance, creativity, embodiment, and somatic awareness - a blend of structure and freedom, strength and softness.

Mornings will be more dynamic and energising, while evenings will invite you to slow down with yin, breathwork, sound bath, and moments of stillness. We’ll also explore more playful and intuitive movement through workshops (e.g. inversions/arms balances, flow & play) - spaces where you can move freely, without pressure, without needing to “get it right.”

No perfect shapes. No performance. Just an invitation to reconnect, move, and feel in a way that’s natural to you. Alongside the movement, we’ll weave in daily meditation, journaling and occasional sharing circles for those who feel called to it.

Lumaé is open to everyone - you don’t need any experience, just a willingness to show up as you are.

Island Life & Experiences

Days on Favignana unfold gently, at your own pace. Swim in turquoise waters, rent a bike to explore the island, read a book or wander through gardens and farmland where our meals are grown. A boat trip takes us to hidden coves, while a group hike or a foraging walk immerses you in the island’s wild beauty.

Savor fresh, farm-to-table meals, olive oil and wine tastings, and moments of pure dolce vita — golden sunsets, laughter, and connection with new friends. Simple moments that will stay with you forever. This retreat is not about doing more or escaping our life, it’s about creating more space to feel and reconnect.

With a small, intimate group, there’s space to be held, to rest, and to simply be. By the end of the week, you may notice a gentle return to yourself — a soft reminder of how simple and alive life can feel when you give yourself permission to just be.

THE TABLE

THE TABLE

The heart of the retreat beats in the kitchen. Meals are vegetarian and made with fresh, organic and seasonal ingredients grown on the property’s own farm, Terre del Favonio.

Our menus are crafted by Giulia, biologist and nutritionist, and cooked with love by Chiara, a holistic chef. Together, they create nourishing, seasonal dishes that celebrate balance, flavour, and simplicity.

You’re welcome to wander through the garden, harvest produce, visit the olive press or the bakery, and experience the slow rhythm of Sicilian living.

Every day, you’ll enjoy a generous brunch, afternoon treats, and a nourishing dinner, with tea, coffee, and fruit throughout the day. Please let us know of any dietary requirements or allergies when booking.

Your Home & Location

Our home on Favignana is set between olive trees and the sea — a peaceful boutique hotel designed for slowing down.

With just six bedrooms, it’s intimate and relaxed, with plenty of room to connect while still having space for yourself. From the terraces, you’ll watch unforgettable sunsets over Marettimo and the Punta Sottile lighthouse, letting each evening unfold in calm and beauty. We’ll also practice in two yoga shalas: one in the olive groves, one facing the sea.

Part of Terre del Favonio, our house is surrounded by farmland where much of the food is grown — organic vegetables, herbs, and olives pressed on-site, bringing the flavours of Sicily straight to your plate.

Favignana itself remains one of Sicily’s hidden treasures, known for its clear water, rugged coastline, and laid-back pace of life. In October, it’s especially calm — warm days, fewer people, and a slower rhythm that makes it easy to unwind and settle into island life.

Your Host & Teacher

Hi, I’m Jade! I found yoga over eight years ago, and it’s been with me ever since - sometimes fiery and strong, other times soft and grounding but always a way to come back to myself. Over the years, I’ve explored many styles and completed over 500 hours of training. What I love most is sharing this practice with others, creating space to explore movement, breath and the joy that unfolds when we connect.

My background in dance and love of movement shape the way I teach - dynamic, creative and a little playful. There’s no perfect shape to chase; instead, I encourage you to listen, feel and discover what works in your own body. All of my classes and retreats are open to everyone — every level, every body, every ability. The space is welcoming, supportive and designed for you to explore at your own pace.

Hosting retreats has quickly become one of my favorite things — a chance to bring people together, explore different ways of moving and dive a little deeper into ourselves and our practice. I love creating a space where connection, playfulness and reflection can coexist, and where each person can follow their own journey.
